Baruipur Sitakundu Sneh Kunja is a registered non-governmental, non-political, non-profitable and non-religious institution working for the weaker, less fortunate and the deprived section of the society. At present it is running several Homes for the unfortunate and neglected children, Health Centers, numerous Educational Centers, Training Programmes, Rural Development Works and in helping to promote numerous Self Help Groups for the empowerment of women belonging to the weaker and less fortunate sections. Its former working area was confined to South Kolkata and the South 24 Parganas, with more emphasis on the Sunderbans but with the advent of the year 2007, it has managed to spread its wings into some parts of the North 24 Parganas too.
Our Goal is to restore the dignity of the less fortunate children and youth through a process of humanization and to empower the poor and marginalized section of the society so that they can support themselves independently in the future. |
